Before
arriving we at Ullswater need to know whether you require
electric hook ups and if, for the tourers you want to put
up an awning or prefer a hard standing.
The parks
natural setting has been used to provide three areas for
tents and tourers. One area is set aside for tourers only
(this is further divided into an area for awnings and a hard
standing area).
A second
area is provided for tents only (this is an area further
split by natural screening giving several smaller areas rather
than one large field).
The third
gives friends and families who have a combination of tents
and tourers the ability to camp together.
All tents
and tourers have access to modern showers and toilet blocks
equipped with hair dryers and shaver points. Separate sinks
to clean cooking utensils are also provided. Water taps are
located at points close to all camping areas; you're on holiday
why cart the water a couple of miles.
A childrens'
play area is also provided, although we ask that you provide
the supervision. The bar and childrens' games room is open
evenings only. We are a park that caters for the Lake District
lover we do not provide a "Total Holiday Experience" so PLEASE
if you need your entertainment provided for you think about
a different destination.
